About Horizon 3 PLUS

The Horizon 3 is a bigger boat, allowing larger parties to holiday together. It sleeps up to 7 guests with one master cabin at the end of the boat and two smaller cabins, all with the privacy of their own en-suite bathrooms. It enjoys a spacious saloon and sundeck.

The latest additions to our Horizon fleet, the Horizon PLUS models are identical in build, layout and quality to our standard Horizon fleet, but have a few additional features to make your experience even better.

Additional ‘Horizon PLUS’ features:

  • Hotel quality mattresses with memory foam – on all beds
  • Premium cushions on the sun deck seating
  • Smart TV’s on which you can watch films and TV shows and listen to music*

*Smart TVs can be used to watch films, TV shows and music streamed via services you have subscribed to on your smart phone. Reliant on receiving a good internet connection at time of streaming. Please note: sundeck sinks are not available on any of our Horizon PLUS boats.

Air cooling and air conditioning

When the temperatures soar, our cabin air cooling system can help make your night’s sleep a little more comfortable. Air cooling uses canal/river water to produce cool air which is blown out through vents.

 

Please note: This is not the same as air-conditioning which can achieve lower temperatures and has a thermostatic control. Performance significantly reduces if canal/river temperature is too high.

The booking team online was very good at providing all the info I asked, and the base team at Smiths Falls were exceptionally responsive and informative regarding every aspect of planning for our trip. We got a brand new boat (less than 100 hrs on the engine) that was very clean and fully ready for our trip. The familiarization program covered everything adequately. The boat size was ideal for six adults. I provided feedback to the Smiths Falls staff after the trip regarding possible improvements. The only major drawback is the new fendering system that I consider wholly inadequate (too small, too fragile for continual lock transits). At least four ordinary 8" diameter fenders (2 per side) should be used to avoid excessive wear on the hull.
